Jump in and help out at the Post 440's monthly food pantry! This happens the 3rd Friday of every month. You'll work with a cross-section of Newton residents to prepare the food, and get to interact with the recipients. No need to sign up - just show up when you can (but please wear some Rotary gear!). The work starts at 7:00am and finishes up at about Noon so arrive when it works for you, and leave when you must.

If you missed this great presentation at our May 3rd club meeting, you have another chance to see it! The Gas-to-GeoGrid Solution The GeoGrid is a system of networked ground source heat pumps that can be installed by gas utilities in the right of way of the street. The most efficient heating system known, it channels the power and finances of gas utilities toward a method that can meet net-zero emissions in an equitable way. GeoGrid installations and feasibility studies are starting in states across the country, including 6 installations in Massachusetts. HEET, a nonprofit climate-solutions incubator, invented the GeoGrid. Audrey Schulman, a co-found and co-executive director, will discuss the research, installations and how you can accelerate the transition. Click HERE to register! After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting - keep the link! Feel free to share.
