Join Rotarians from around the District on November 13, 2024 at 6:00pm to celebrate The Rotary Foundation’s role in creating the magic of Rotary and to recognize those who are helping to make it happen.

You’ll hear from Dr. Kimberly Porter, of the Gates Foundation, about why eliminating Polio is so important and how the health systems created by the immunization effort will have an impact even after the job is finished!

You’ll hear from Patti Quigley, co-founder of Razia’s Ray of Hope with an update on educating girls in Afghanistan.

We’ll also celebrate our Major and Bequest Donors, Paul Harris Society Members, and Polio Plus Society Members. (It’s not too late to add your name on that list! Contact Bob Worth at rjworth@gmail.com if you need help making a donation).

There will also be a special ceremony to award a Paul Harris Fellow to non-Rotarian Ed Myers of Tewksbury. Mr. Myers was a member of a team that traveled to Turkey to provide training to Afghan OB/GYNs on the use of maternal/fetal monitors. Currently he is helping to support a project for women’s education in Jalalabad, Afghanistan - sponsored by La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club in CA.

Space is limited so be sure to register now!  https://rotary7910.org/event/district-foundation-dinner-1/
