What do you get when you mix a roomful of book-loving kids, a library, a magician, and a group of Newton Rotarians with ice cream and a great Summer Discovery reading program? A fun filled evening!
Newton Rotary and The Village Bank collaborated to sponsor the Newton "Summer Discovery Reading Program" which brought kids and books together all over the city. Thanks to a D7910 District Grant we're also sending a bunch of kids home with new books, AND donating more to the program's library for next year.
Club members Susan Paley, Devender Guhania, Arti Mahon and Susan Peghiny were joined by Village Bank volunteers to dish out ice cream at the program's closing celebration. A delicious end to a great summer program!
